Rose Cottage Laide is a comfortable cottage sleeping 4 (in one double and one twin room).
Bright and well furnished accommodation, it is in a quiet location with a lovely view of the mountains and a glimpse of Loch Broom.
Fully equipped with kitchen facilities including dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, electric cooker, and a food processor, and a utility room with a washing machine and tumble drier. There is plenty of china, cutlery and all the pans and utensils you may need if you like to cook.
There is TV, Wi-fi and DVD.
Electricity, linen, electric central heating and fuel for the log burner are included in the cost. There is a bath and separate walk in shower.
There is parking for two cars. Dogs accommodated, but please let us know.

We are surrounded by lovely countryside, with plenty of walking for all abilities. For those that know Laide Wood, which is next to the cottage, there has been extensive work at the lower end and now you can walk up to a waterfall from the lake at the bottom. We are 10 minutes walk from Laide beach and a short drive to stunning Mellon Udrigle.
For you nature lovers, apart from the usual garden visitors such as siskins, coal tits and sparrows, we have visiting redpoll and linnets. Raptors are often seen circling above. Pine martins are regular visitors to the garden and feed from the window feeder. We have Sika deer in the wood next to the cottage. Please see the picture page.
The nearest shopping within walking distance, is the nearby post office, which has a few groceries, newspapers and petrol. There is a well stocked general store in nearby Aultbea, . There are good restaurants in Gairloch, but you need to book. We enjoy the Myrtle bank hotel for evening meals.
In Gairloch you can take a variety of boat trips from inshore glass bottomed boat trips to offshore whale watching. Also at Gairloch there is a 9 hole golf course open all year.
Inverness is 73 miles (2 hours away), an interesting city with a lovely indoor market and plenty of shops.
There is a bus service to Inverness –only one each way a day, but allows 4 to 5 hours in the town.
