We are surrounded
by lovely scenary. For those that know Laide Wood there has been
extensive work at the lower end and now you can walk up to a waterfall
from the lake at the bottom. We are 10 minutes walk from the nearest
beach and a short drive to stunning Mellon Udrigle.
For those
of you who enjoy garden birds we have a large variety and there
are plenty of feeders if you enjoy feeding them.

The nearest
shopping is the local post office (which has petrol) and a larger
general store in nearby Aultbea, where there is a also quiet local
pub which serves lunches and very good evening meals.
Inverness
is 73 miles (2 hours away), an interesting city with a lovely
indoor market and plenty of shops. Also at Gairloch (15 miles)
there is a 9 hole golf course open all year.
There is
a bus service to Inverness –only one each way a day, but
allows 4 to 5 hours in the town.
